Cute Place Setting

With the terrible weather we’ve had lately it’d be no surprise if you told me you’re planning for warmer months, when you no longer want to stay cocooned indoors, wedding season is in full swing and barbecues are on the menu. So while we’re all making plans for warmer weather why not try this cute place setting for when you have friends over. It’s relatively simple to put together but once all laid out on a table will make a fantastic impact! And everything you see is available to buy at Peach Blossom.

Chevron bags, mini pegs, gift tags, heart stickers, wooden cutlery, stripey straws.

We’re going to be bringing more tableware in the coming months too so watch this space!

DIY: Marshmallow Sticks

Wow, so 2013 has arrived! I’m sure you’ll have many plans and occasions lined up for this year and whatever they may be we’ll continue to bring you on-trend and innovative inspiration on how to craft, style and accessorise your special occasion. Whether it’s your wedding day, your son or daughter’s 5th birthday party or a dinner with friends, Peach Blossom is the place to bring you new ideas and products to add a special touch to your celebration. And today’s post is no different as I feature this super simple and super sweet recipe*.

Cake pops have been all the rage for a while but if time is not on your side and you need a simple alternative, you might just like the look of these! These marshmallow treats are perfect for so many occasions, whether you want to add something extra to your wedding sweet table or want to gift something to your friends, these will do just the trick.

Start by prodding your marshmallows on to the end of a straw. Here I’ve used some stripey straws for a pop of colour, but you can use sweet or baking sticks, just make sure they’re food safe. Then dip the marshmallows in melted white chocolate (or icing if you prefer) and sprinkle with er…sprinkles. I’ve gone for a clean, classic look but of course you can pick different coloured straws, sprinkles and marshmallows to suit your event.

Ta da! Now go ‘wow’ your friends and family with these sweet delights!

*ok, so this isn’t a recipe in the traditional ‘cooking’ sense but you’ll no doubt be in the kitchen carrying out this set of instructions so that’s as good as a recipe in our book.

So often it’s easy to look to reds and greens to decorate your Christmas space but why not blue and white? I think this stunning winter themed dessert table by Inspired Bride shows just how Christmassy these colours can be.

Let us know in the comments, do you think you’ll be using any of these ideas for Christmas or have you got yours all planned out already?
